Calibration Technician – Graduate Trainee

Plamera Ltd is an analytical instrumentation company serving clients in the pharmaceutical, environmental, geochemical, agro-allied, and oil & gas industries. We supply, install, commission, train on, calibrate, repair, and maintain laboratory equipment including GC, AAS, HPLC, ICP, GCMS, and spectrophotometers.

We are recruiting a Calibration Technician Graduate Trainee.

Role
You will be trained to carry out calibrations, basic servicing, and documentation on analytical and laboratory instruments. Work will be both in-house and at client sites. Travel can be required at short notice within Nigeria.

- Assist with scheduled and on-site calibrations of laboratory and process instruments
- Follow SOPs and maintain accurate calibration records and certificates
- Support installation, commissioning, and basic troubleshooting
- Learn instrument-specific procedures for GC, AAS, HPLC, spectrophotometers, and related equipment
- Liaise professionally with clients during site visits
- Keep tools, standards, and documentation organized and audit-ready

- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Instrumentation, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a closely related science/engineering field
- Recent graduate who has completed NYSC
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with technical documentation
- Willingness to travel at short notice (essential)
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office; willingness to learn calibration or CMMS software)
- Good communication skills and a professional client-facing attitude

Nice to have
- Industrial attachment or project work involving laboratory instruments
- Interest in metrology, quality systems (ISO/IEC 17025 / GMP), or field service
