Programme Delivery and Operations Manager

What you will do

Translate contracts, strategies and approved initiatives into programmes, projects and workstreams, with work breakdown structures, integrated plans, milestones, dependencies and acceptance criteria.
Keep schedules, action registers, decision logs, risk registers and change records current, and agree recovery actions when delivery slips.
Maintain a consolidated portfolio and help leadership assess new initiatives before commitment.
Track budgets, commitments, forecasts, invoices and variance with Finance, and assemble evidence for milestone invoices and audits.
Set proportionate governance, prepare decision papers, and produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for each audience.
Coordinate incidents and outages through to root cause and corrective action, without taking over engineering.
Build practical delivery discipline across teams and keep routine matters from being escalated to the CEO.

At least five years managing complex technology, infrastructure or digital-service projects, across several organisations or independent teams.

Hands-on experience with project budgets, forecasting, risk and change control, and concise senior-level reporting.
Experience coordinating operational incidents or technology service delivery.
Strong facilitation and follow-through, and comfort working with engineers without being the principal engineer.
Excellent written and spoken English. Working French, research and education network experience, and PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, ITIL or similar are a plus.
