Job Description

Purpose of the Job:
Reservoir Engineer to conduct integrated reservoir engineering studies, dynamic reservoir simulation, reserves estimation, and production forecasting across several oil and gas fields. The job involves using static and dynamic models, well test, PVT, and production data to identify development and production optimisation opportunities, de-risk recovery uncertainty, and support field development planning. Emphasis is on the generation of strategies to maximise ultimate recovery, including IOR/EOR, and on converting Contingent Resources to Reserves.

Responsibilities

Portfolio:
✔ The remit of the Senior Reservoir Engineer is to conduct dynamic reservoir simulation and history matching in support of field development planning, and to identify opportunities for improved recovery and reserves growth.
✔ The RE will also carry out detailed engineering analyses and incorporate relevant aspects of other disciplines, principally subsurface geoscience, to deliver and maintain robust dynamic models. Emphasis is on the generation of strategies to convert Contingent Resources to Reserves.
✔ The position will also entail identification of opportunities for enhancing recovery through IOR/EOR and application of new technology to de-risk production forecasts.
Performance:
✔ Build and maintain dynamic simulation models for assigned reservoirs to a high technical standard and incorporate relevant aspects of other disciplines to define integrated development opportunities.
✔ Provide engineering input into static-dynamic model integration for reasons of appraisal strategy, reserves booking and field development planning.
✔ Conduct material balance, decline curve and nodal analyses, and well test interpretation to characterise reservoir performance.
✔ Identify and propose production optimisation opportunities, including artificial lift, workover candidates and IOR/EOR schemes.

Requirements

BSc. degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 10 years of industry experience in reservoir engineering, of which at least 5 should be in a Gas/Oil Production environment.
• Competent in dynamic reservoir simulation (e.g. Eclipse, CMG, Petrel RE) and material balance methods.
• Good track record in reserves estimation, production forecasting and field development planning.
• Skills in PVT analysis and well test interpretation are considered an advantage.

If you are ready to drive reservoir performance and maximise recovery across our fields, we want to hear from you.
