SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

The Software Developer at Manifold Computers is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that support the organization’s business and operational needs. The role works closely with product, technology, and business teams to build reliable, scalable, and user-friendly software solutions while ensuring applications meet required performance and quality standards.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications based on business and technical requirements.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Work with product and technology teams to understand requirements and translate them into functional software solutions.
• Develop and maintain web applications, APIs, backend services, or other software systems as required.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and technical issues.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to maintaining coding standards and development best practices.
• Integrate third-party services, APIs, databases, and other technology components into applications.
• Perform software testing to identify and resolve bugs before deployment.
• Participate in the design and implementation of new features and improvements to existing applications.
• Monitor application performance and assist in identifying opportunities for optimization.
• Maintain technical documentation for applications, systems, and development processes.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, development tools, and industry best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in software development or a related role.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, or PHP.
• Experience with software development frameworks and libraries relevant to the chosen technology stack.
• Good understanding of databases, APIs, version control systems, and software development principles.
• Experience working with Git or other version control systems.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of software testing, deployment processes, and application security.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage tasks effectively, and meet project deadlines.
