Job Description
We are recruiting on behalf of our client in the banking and financial services sector for an experienced, commercially driven, and strategic Zonal Branch Manager to oversee branch operations, drive business growth, strengthen internal controls, and ensure operational excellence across assigned branches within a designated zone.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of B.Sc. in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or another relevant discipline.
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- 10–15 years of relevant banking experience, preferably across branch banking, retail banking, operations, business development, or financial services.
- At least 5 years in a senior management capacity, such as Branch Manager, Area Manager, Regional Manager, Zonal Operations Manager, or a comparable role.
- Demonstrable experience in deposit mobilisation, branch profitability, revenue growth, customer acquisition, and performance management.
- Strong knowledge of banking operations, credit and operational risk, internal controls, audit processes, and regulatory compliance.
- A proven track record of managing teams, improving branch performance, and delivering business targets across multiple locations or branches.
Professional Certifications:
Relevant Certifications from CIBN, ICAN, ACCA, CFA or other recognized financial services or risk management bodies will be an advantage.
